Have you put your creativity on the back burner for too long? Do you feel like you need a jumpstart to get it going again? If so, join us for this week-long adult summer camp and give yourself permission to make time for the creative things you WANT to do. We will experiment with a variety of mixed media materials and techniques that are designed to encourage your exploration of the creative process without the pressure of having to create a perfect piece of art. This workshop is all about freedom, imagination, and play. No matter your skill – or comfort – level this workshop is a safe space where you can reconnect and reenergize your personal creativity. Be prepared to get messy!

Does judgment get in the way of your creativity? Is the voice of your inner critic judging everything you do, including where you are in your life? This week we will discover a variety of activities and techniques to help you kick your inner critic to the curb and invite your inner child and creative muse to take over. We will play with a little bit of this, a little bit of that and break some rules to help you unwind and recharge your creative spark. Mixed media is the perfect tool to help you reclaim or expand your sense of experimentation, wonder, and fun in your life. This is the perfect place for those who are convinced they are not very creative and for the seasoned artist whose work has gotten tight and predictable. No inner critics allowed!

Immerse yourself in a dynamic, creative environment with other students who are passionate about art and design. Build and develop your creative and artistic skills and portfolio through the exploration of 2-Dimesional Design in this week-long workshop. Discover how to become a stronger conceptual thinker by exploring the craft and language of visual communication in a non-digital environment. A wide range of traditional techniques will be used to produce innovative projects. This workshop is designed to challenge students in grades 9 -12 at all levels of artistic experience.

In this week-long studio workshop, you will delve into the process of producing powerful art in 3-dimensions as you explore the interaction between form and space. By experimenting with a variety of materials you will have fun learning construction and problem-solving techniques designed to strengthen and expand your creative talents, imagination, self-confidence, and individual style. This workshop is designed to challenge students in grades 9 -12 at all levels of artistic experience.
Instructor Bio: Bryce Hammond, received his BA in Art History from Furman University in 1992, and his MFA in Emerging Media from University of Central Florida in 2013. He continues to have solo exhibitions around the United States and in Europe where his paintings are held in major public collections. Hammond is represented by Alan Avery Art Company in Atlanta, Georgia.
Mr. Hammond has received the Sam and Adele Golden Foundation Fellowship, Florida Fellowship for the Arts, Pabst Family Foundation Grant, South East College Art Conference Gulnar-Bosch travel grant, and Fiscal Sponsorship from the New York Foundation for the Arts.
Mr. Hammond also teaches Digital Media, AP 2D and IB Art at Spruce Creek High School.
