Family Fun Saturdays

Sponsored by the Dorothy M. Gillespie Foundation, Inc.

The Museum of Art – DeLand's Family Fun Saturday is a fantastic way to share family time through a variety of art media without taking the time to prepare or clean-up following the activity. This FREE event, held on select Saturday's from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., allows families and visitors of all ages to spend time together while exploring their creative sides, illuminating their imaginations, expressing their vision, and engaging in hands-on fun. Family Fun Saturday's are developed in coordination with Museum exhibitions and/or seasonal holidays.

2017 - 18  Family Fun Saturdays:  September 16, October 21, November 11, December 16, 2017; January 20, February 17, March 24, April 21 and May 19, 2018.

Past Programming

StART (Stories & Art) Library Program The Museum of Art - DeLand had partnered with the Volusia County Public Library system (DeLand, Deltona, Lake Helen, New Smyrna Beach and Ormond Beach) for several years, sharing the goal of promoting reading and visual literacy for elementary age students. This was achieved through the use of art-integrated bibliographies and hands-on activities and materials related to current exhibitions and the permanent collection.
Children's Holiday Art Workshop is a past event that took place for children ages 6 to 12 in during the holiday season at 600 N. Woodland Blvd. There is no children's workshop scheduled for this year.
